Ottawa, Ontario – Canada’s Youth U-20 Team defeated Trinidad and Tobago’s U-23 National Team 3-0 yesterday in Port of Spain, Trinidad.

Sita-Taty Matondo opened the scoring 15 minutes into the first half followed by Josh Simpson in the 27th minute. Jeremy Shepherd of Hertha Berlin scored the only goal of the second half in the 84th minute. Canadian Goalkeeper Simon Rayner who plays for Barry Town AFC earned the shutout.

“The game was a bit scrappy to be honest, but we put the ball in the net and kept it out of ours, which is important.” said Mitchell.

Canada is scheduled to play another exhibition game against Trinidad and Tobago’s U-23 Team on Wednesday, February 19 before returning on February 21.

Très bon résultat, mais il faut voir ce qu'ils font du deuxième match pour se faire une bonne idée de l'équipe...

À noter qu'on a eu le résultat en "scoop" sur les Voyageurs, directement `c travers le père de Simon Rayner, le gardien canadien.
