BAYAMON, Puerto Rico (CMC) - Jamaican Kevin Wilson netted twice and propelled the touring Montreal Impact to a 3-0 victory over the Puerto Rico Islanders in a pre-season match at the Juan Ramon Loubriel Stadium on Sunday night.

Newcomer Wilson, who joined Montreal last Wednesday from Kingston's Arnett Gardens, shot the Canadian side 2-0 ahead with second-half goals and Antonio Ribeiro completed the scoring just before the final whistle.

The two teams had played to a 1-1 draw on Friday night when Wilson came on as a 76th-minute substitute.

"It was a good game and a good show. I think we played better today. We were able to capitalise on their mistakes," Wilson said.

Wilson scored his first goal in the 55th minute after accepting a pass from captain Mauro Biello.

He beat goalkeeper Dan Kennedy with a low shot to his right. It was Biello's second assist in as many games.

The Jamaican forward, who had a stint with Montreal in 1998 and also had appearances for Jamaica's Senior National and Under-23 teams, scored his second goal of the night in the 71st minute.

After intercepting a back pass from the Islanders' defence in the centre, Wilson went in alone on the goalkeeper and dribbled around him to score in an empty net.

Midfielder Ribeiro completed the scoring at the 90th minute, on a pass from Patrick Leduc.
