IMPACT PRACTICE SCHEDULE
IMPACT DOING WELL ON AND OFF THE FIELD
Another win at home, another good crowd for the Impact... Last Friday, Montreal beat the Syracuse Salty Dogs 2-1 in front of 7,764 spectators at Claude Robillard Stadium. Coach Bob Lilley’s squad is still undefeated on its turf in 2003 (4-0-2), is still on top of the Northeast Division with a record of 11-3-3 and is even in the race for first place in overall A-League standings with the Charleston Battery and the Seattle Sounders.
The Impact seems to be as popular as ever among sports fans with an average of 6,450 spectators per match-up so far this season, an increase of 24.6% as compared to last year’s average. In 2002, the Montreal squad attracted 5,178 fans per home game, an all-time club high. This year, the Impact comes third in the A-League in terms of average attendance, behind the Rochester Raging Rhinos (9,994) and Syracuse (6,931).
