VSK - Trelleborgs FF

Sorry to report that we lost 2-0, again resorting to hoofing the ball towards our two attackers. Problem was that the ball very rarely landed somewhere near them...
Our first defeat on home turf and not really much to say about it. Trelleborg was clearly better than us, they managed to dominate the midfield with just three players. We are playing in a sort of diamond midfield and that is just not working at all at the moment. Of course, it is very hard for the midfielders to do anything when the ball keeps sailing over them all the time.
They scored from a corner in the 41:st minute, that prompted our manager to switch to 4-3-3 after halftime. I sort of hoped that we by then would put some pressure on Trelleborg, but no such thing. Trelleborg kept on dominating the game, we struggled with their skilful passing. Time ran out, we had a few decent chances towards the end but with cross-eyed forwards who couldn't hit a barn from the inside, no goals from us. Trelleborg put a final nail in our coffin on overtime when they scored their second while our defence stood still.
Braz and his centre-back compadre did ok, as did our keeper. The rest was simply not good enough and as we now face Trelleborg away I do hope that they practice some passing when they are training.
Only two points from four games, I hope that the players will show some more fighting spirit and get us out of this...
