The two have been said talking with eachother about a partnership in bringing an MLS franchise here. However with Gillette's situation with Hicks and Liverpool does this affect a possible bid for a MLS franchise?

Another question if anyone can answer...
If the two do combine their efforts and bring an MLS franchise to the 514 will it be a split 50/50 partnership? (Like Gillette has with Hicks) Mind you I understand MLS's regulation in owning franchises, however if anyone can help it'd be greatly appreciated

I don't think the status of his Liverpool ownership has much effect, seeing as the budgets of EPL and MLS are not at all the same.

From what I understand, it would be a 50-50 split, and I'm guessing they can set up an umbrella ownership (ie The Sapulette Group ) to own the club, if MLS wouldn't want 2 owners (which would surprise me).
