Sorry for the slow update, but I opted for a small minibreak in the countryside rather than going to the game. Shame on me...;-)

Reports indicate that we played rather bad in the first half, loads of hoofing the ball away from our goal. The first fifteen minutes was ok from our side, then it went downhill. They scored after 18 minutes, one of their players circled our static defence and put the ball out of reach from our keeper. Assyriska also had a major opportunity to increase their lead just before halftime but our keeper managed to push the ball on the post, the ball bounced back to one of their players who promptly shot the ball 100 yards over the empty net.

VSK came out as a new team for the second half, we started playing through our midfield rather than over them. As always, it was our supremo up front, Stefan Bärlin who was the architect behind our comeback. We started a quick counterattack, Bärlin did what he does best - scored a brilliant goal. The game wore on and with five minutes to go, I think we were quite happy with 1-1. Not Bärlin though, he kept on pushing for that final goal. He managed to turn their defence with a brilliant move, resulting in 3 against 1 situation. Bärlin passed the ball to one of our midfielders, who put the ball away. Brilliant stuff, the travelling supporters could hardly belive their eyes.

So six points from two away games, certainly more than I dared dream of. New game tomorrow, Boden at home. Should be another three points in the bag, but you really never know with our lot.

Ask him if he wants to play in Montreal next season. We haven't scored a goal in 2 games...
