In other Impact news, goalkeeper Greg Sutton was awarded the Giuseppe Saputo Trophy, awarded to the team's MVP, at the team's end of season banquet in Laval, Que., on Tuesday.
Sutton led the league in goals-against average (0.73), minutes played (2,463), shutouts (11) and wins (15).
The 26-year-old was named A-League goalkeeper of the year award and named to the league's first all-star team last week.
Gervais was named the Impact's defensive player of the year for the second straight season, while Martin Nash was chosen newcomer of the year.
David Fronimadis won the "unsung hero" award.
