Members of the "Timbers Army" have been leaving threatening and harrassing messages and voicemails at the home of Sounders' goalkeeper Preston Burpo, and chanting his home phone number at matches.
In a season with so much to be proud of the TA is single-handedly bringing shame upon their city and their team.
I do hope that a few leaders immerge from this growing menace to turn the mob mentality around.

Players are PEOPLE who deserve private lives outside of their public jobs.
I'd also like others to know that Sounders fans who run websites have been receiving harrassing and threatening emails. What's the point of doing that?
I have been proud of pro soccer in the Cascadia region, and its fans. All three clubs' supporters like to 'take the piss' a bit back and forth. But when you go at PEOPLE and threaten them, you need to analyze your goals, motives and behavior.
