Hainault handed Rams trial
Wed 09 Nov, 10:22 AM
Derby manager Phil Brown has taken Canada Under-20 international Andre Hainault on trial.
The 19-year-old centre-half is currently a free agent and featured for the Rams in a behind-closed-doors friendly against Mansfield.
Goals from assistant manager Dean Holdsworth and Karl Ashton earned the Rams a 2-0 win at Derby's Moor farm training base.
After watching Hainault in action for 90 minutes, Brown said: "It was a game where the conditions weren't conducive to good football. As a centre-half you had to battle in the wind and I thought he did that to a reasonable level.
"So hopefully we'll see another run out for him next week."
