Depor chase De Guzman

Hannover's Julian de Guzman has revealed that Deportivo La Coruna could destroy his plans to sign a new contract with the 96ers.

The struggling Spanish club are showing an interest in the impressive Canada international.

The 23-year-old midfielder has been one of the revelations in the current Bundesliga campaign but, despite interest from other German teams and French giants Marseille, he has suggested that his future lies either in Hannover or La Coruna.

"I am thinking about extending my spell here for one or two more years," he told Kicker. "Possibly with a get-out clause but La Coruna would also be an option."

The two-times Spanish champions have failed to live up to the high expectations in Galicia this term and are keen to strengthen their squad ahead of next season.

Former Hannover director of sport Ricardo Moar, who is now back at La Riazor, has reportedly made de Guzman a priority on Depor's shopping list.
