Some pensees de la match

-Goodbye to the most arrogant team ever put together. Barthez is such a poor excuse for a keeper and Zidane is sooo cocky. Even Platini...for a guy who is supposed to be neutral and working for UEFA, you should never wear your feelings on your sleeve. Greece deserved to win this game hands down. Good riddence to this French team who should never have won even 1 trophy in their careers!!!

-Beautiful Greece, just beautiful!!! The French had gone to the well one too many times and eventually it was going to catch up to them. They should have never beat England or Croatia and were fortunate against the Swiss. Les bleus are now "noir and bleu".
Au Revoir!!!!!

-Dee Francaise soulvaki--eed. take Zinedane and T. Henry off the skewers, they'are done!

-The arrogant French folded like a bad souffle. Well Frenchmen, EAT some CROW a la carte!

-one of the greatest days ever. i hate the french team. a lot of old people on that team got to go
au revoir or something like that

-Au revoir, la France!! HAHAHA, this is great! I'm not greek, but I'm definitely not a fan of France. That goal was amazing, and Greece deserved to win. France has been a lucky team for far too long, and their luck has run out on them. GOODBYE!!!!

-Congratulations Greece! The French were lucky to get into the Quarters and the Greek's amazing supporting defense prevented the French from attacking. Very well done!

-EMBARRASMENT! France really didn't play well enough to win. They were a step behind all game long.

-Congrats Greece. Well played game, similar to the way England played France but a better result. This just proves that France is not all that good to begin with. Greek supporters should be very proud. This is last you will see of Bartez,Zindane,Lizarazu,Wiltord,Gallas,Makalele,Desailly in the bleu.

-Good riddance. A team with Zidane, Pires, Henry and Trezeguet has never looked so uncreative. Were it not for Heskey, they would have been out in the group stages.

-Biggest choke of tournament so far. France didn't score a goal in '02 world cup and now loose to Greece(give credit to Greece. Les Bleus may just well be the most overrated team in Fifa's top ten.

-Lacklustre France beaten by a very deserving Greece.

-Au Revoir France! hahaha. If England cannot win it, then France shouldn't win it. Such a weird Euro 2004. Looks like the Dutch are in the driver seat.

-One Word.....SWEET!!!!

-AWESOME!! The french were lucky even to be in the quarter-final. They played poorly all tournment and didnt even deserve to be there! As for the the greeks like I said simply AWESOME!

-All I have to say is "THANK YOU GREECE!!!!". Finally the lucky, disorganized, and don't forget arrogant , French team has been knocked out. Goodbye France! and try not to be like England and cry about it.

-France is out....we all knew it was coming.

-No surprise here. The fact is that France have not been playing very well for quite some time. Sure they are wonderfully talented but they have been fortunate. In '98, they needed penlaties to beat Italy, played well against Brazil and that was pretty much it. At Euro 2000, they were outplayed by the Czechs and out classed by the Dutch. They caught a major break against Portugal. In the final against Italy, they only played for 3 or 4 minutes and it paid off after they were dubiously accorded 4 minutes of added time after the Italians beat themselves. They stank the joint out in Korea and the cycle of fortune continued this year against England and Croatia. Not once did they out play any of the aformentioned countries. That said, the French make their opponents pay for their miscues. They are sufficiently talented to do so and they deserve respect for their accomlishments. Luck is not a bad thing in a short tournament. But today belongs to Greece. Congratulations.

-My my! well the better team of the day won again. I'm the one that had originally picked France to win the whole thing but when I saw them play against England I knew I was wrong. Greece played better, defended waaaaaaaay better and they actually did everything better. I just hope that Denmark and Czech players think just like some of their fans so they can also join France, Italy, Spain, England on the plane home.

-I stated this after the French beat the English in the first game of the qualifying round. That the French/Zidane were old and very over-rated team/player. They were going to prove that their early exit in the WC2002 was justified. I stated and re-stated after each game they played that they would be sent packing in the Quarters. Well, what do you know, they have!!! To all those bandwagon jumping French fans, I wonder what happen to that great flowing offense and in particular T.Henry. Au revoir France, move aside so that we can enjoy the Czechs and Netherland Final.

-As the only Frenchman with enough guts to say anything, here we go. I am not dissapointed with the team. They got beat by a better team. Just because France has better players doesn't make them the best team. No desire, no drive, no excuse. Congrats Hellas!

-With all the experience on the french side, I really expected to see Greece lose but I do always cheer for the underdog and thanks to greece my least favourite team is gone, out!!!!!!!!!! YA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Go Holland!!!!!!!!!

-I thought this team learned their lesson after WorldCup2002 debacle...I guess not. I'm still a French fan, but I'm disgusted at the team's poor play in the tournament.

-Full marks to GRE. And for FRA a 2nd dissapointing tourny in a row. They were lucky to get out of their group (ENG and CRO practically handed pts to them on a platter)and CRO was unlucky.

-Now that the Host country received their one game saving call of the tournament(disallowing Campbell's goal-that the linesman agreed was a goal). I am hoping that the remaining games are decided by the teams playing not by field officials. Hoping here that the Dutch and Czechs advance, so that we can witness more wide open soccer. Dutch/Portugal semi will be very exciting, with the Dutch prevailing provided that the home team doesn't continue to get the calls. The Czechs, deepest team, should handle Greece(sorry, I'd love to see you win the tournament) without much problems. Holland/Czech final would be awesome.
