Rob Friend was back after his suspension due to yellow cards. And, MAN, was he back!!!!
Moss opened the game really good, and produced a series of nice attacks against Hødd. But after the first 15 minutes they kind of lost it a little bit, allowing Hødd to dangerous visits in front of the Moss goal. But then the combination Ødegaard and Friend struck like lightning. 22 minutes into the game, Ødegaard served Friend, on a nice free-kick from 25 metres and a bit out on the right side. The ball found it's way to a flying Rob Friend's head and BANG into the net!! 1-0! Seven minutes later the same combination, but this time from the left side, and not on a free-kick. BANG into the net from Rob's head. 2-0!! One minute later, Friend got the chance again, and again with a header, but this time served by Kristiansen. The goalie made a great save and spoiled Rob's hat-trick.
Patrice Bernier played a decent first half, but I have seen him better. A couple of bad passes and lost balls, but he worked very hard in a more defensive role this time, due to a suspension on Larsen who normally have the central defensive role.
12-13 minutes into the second half, Hødd got a penalty-kick, why I don't know, but there weren't any huge protests from the Moss players so I believe it was a correct call by the ref. 2-1, and this result was also the final result.
Friend was named "man of the match" by the supporter-club, fair enough.
With this victory Moss passed Hødd on the fixture, and we now have 5 teams behind us. The four teams placed on the bottom of the fixture when season ends, are relegated. It's time to look at the teams in front of us, not the ones behind us. My personal goal for the team is to be undefeated from the day they got the new head-coach and to the end of season. It's a tough one, but you have to aim high.
