Ørn-Horten 2 - Moss 1

Sorry for the delay, folks! I have experienced some problems with my computer, it wouldn't start! But, now I've stuffed a medium sized pig into a running-wheel and attached it to the computer, so it should function allright. Hiihaa!

Then back to the valley of darkness....

Both players and supporters took the trip across the fjord, filled with confidence after three consecutive wins. Maybe a little bit too confident. The game opened as predicted, with a strong, well-playing Moss against Eagles with broken wings. First 20 minutes eveything looked cool and there was a class difference between the two teams. Then they started to fall back into old sins. However, after 30 minutes Rob Friend was there again. Got the ball in good position inside the box, and wam bam thank you ma'm, Moss were in the lead. But for how long? 3 minutes! A lost ball on the midfield gave the eagles from Horten the opportunity with 4 players against 2 Moss defenders. It had to go wrong, and the score was 1-1.
From that point in Moss showed no signs of the previous confidence. We expected the players to come out in the second half, and really show the audience that first half was just a consentration error, but we were dissapointed. Except for Simen Brenne who showed why he is a U-21 national with nice technics and movement, the players all were on a 70% level. And you don't win football matches in norwegian first division without a 100% effort! In the 64'th minute same guy who scored the first eagles-goal did it again. Bad defensive play by Moss, allowing the dude to score more or less undisturbed.

Rob Friend got a yellow card in the first half after throwing the ball away on a Horten free kick, and he had to make the day a total drag by recieving another yellow card, 2 minutes on injury-time, after a totally unnecessary tackle. Red card for Rob, and suspension for the next game. Way to go Rob!

Patrice Bernier had a weak day on the job, like most of the players had. Let this game be a lesson for them, and I believe that we will see a totally different team next week.

See ya then!
