Moss - chickenfalls

Message par bukowski »

the game starts in 30 minutes. and i don't wanna go.
im still at home. i mean i can just gett in ma car and get up there. maybe even catch a beer with some of the leftyes at the pub. I just don't know what to do with myself..
with every point we take, we're helping the subhumans of F-town a step closer to eliten (i.e the top leage)
and we don't really need all these points anymore.
it has become a quite different way of looking a the game. and also i know this. once in there; behind those high sycamore-green fences of Melløs stadium, theres nuthing i wouldnt do to win the game! blood boiling.
the sound of the whistle is near. 18 minutes. i don't wanna go up there and give my best. for the love of ma town. if fredrikstad goes up. football as we know it will be forgotten in the city of Moss. we 're in the same goddam county! it won't last.
15 minutes thil showdown.
i'm cracking a can.
ha! no driving for me.

when i got there the score was still o-o.
suddenly in the second half, Moss scores. a header by vidar martinsen, the defender and the player of the match. as we watched the players cheer, (almost) chickens goes throught our defense and puts one behind Per, our goalie. 2 minutes later they get a penalty. wich is fair, and it's 1-2.
we banged our heads against the chickenfence the last 15 minutes, but struggled our way towards a draw. joy. 2-2. (att: 1599. i did't pay to get in,..spoookey)
friend was back in the squad and patrice played on midfield. they both did a fair game, but didn't make to much difference concerning responsibility and creative solutions. they'r good fighters though.

(ffk won in Drammen. they need one more win to relegate. we play the basterds sunday at 1.oo..)

The ambivalence bukowski is talking about was of course devistating. Hønefoss (henfall or chickenfall as bukowski put it) could have been one of the teams to destroy Fredrikstad's plan of qualifying for play in the premier division next year. Why are we so hateful against Fredrikstad? Well, it's only 30 km from Moss to Fredrikstad, and we have allways been bitter enemies. If you go back to the time when the average attendant at a football match had hat and coat, and Churchill was still fit for fight, then Fredrikstad was one of the dominant clubs in Norway. But for the last 20 years Moss have been the pride of the county. Since the two towns are so close to each other, one might fear that players and money move south to Fredrikstad if they are playing in the premier and we in the first division. I know, we are not travelling by "the high road" when we say things like this, and you might get the impression that it's just petty envy, but it's hard to produce any warm feelings for that town, populated as it is by river rats and scum.

Anyway, todays game was for a long period a one way drive towards the H'foss' goal. First half ended 0-0, but both Friend and Patrice had their chances to score. And so had a couple of other Moss players to. In second half things happened fast. After aprox. 10 minutes Martinsen hit Ødegaards corner-kick with a perfect header and 1-0 to Moss! Just 3 minutes later the defensive line slipped for a moment and H'foss could score on their first opportunity. 1-1. And 2 minutes after that they got a (fair bukowski?) penalty. 1-2. It would have made it easier to swallow this totally unfair result if Fredrikstad had lost their game against Strømsgodset, but lucky F... won their game after two own-goal achivements by Strømsgodset!!! Well, Moss pushed hard for an equalizer and they were rewarded 2 minutes on injury time. It was an own goal as well, but the Moss strikers were pushing the defenders hard in a chaotic situation in front of the goal. They weren't served it on a plate by a unattacked defender with an early christmas spirit.

Patrice was close to being named man of the match by the supporters, but defender and goal-scorer Martinsen got the reward. Patrice had a very nice game, but Rob Friend seemed a bit "heavy" today. He worked good, and won a lot of air-fights, even though the ref felt like blowing his whistle on him from time to time.

Like bukowski mentioned, we play against Fredrikstad next Sunday at 01.00 pm local time. It will be the match of the year at Melløs, and hopefully we will watch our guys kick the shit out of those stinking rats.

Bye!
