Before you get all excited over such a fantastic victory, let me tell you the truth behind the scoreline: We were absolute crap. Not as bad as the game against Frölunda, but not too far from it.

We opened good enough, played decent for the first 15 minutes or so. Then something familiar happened again: We stopped playing, inviting Sylvia into the game. As soon as we had the ball, play crawled to a near-halt, loads of passes going wrong and our defence shuffling long balls towards our two lonely forwards. Sylvia took over more and more, but we managed to make half time without letting a goal in.

Second half started, similar picture as in the first half. It was quite clear by now that Sylvia was going to score, and sure enough, they got a penalty just three minutes into the half. The penalty was given after Braz tackled one of their players in the area, ref was standing about two metres away so I suppose it was a correct call. They scored and I started to hope that this was going to act as an alarmclock, but no such luck. The game resumed very much in the same manner it had been before and I by this time just wished for the game to be over. Then Sylvia hit the post in the 68th minute and all of a sudden VSK kickstarted into life. We got a corner in the 75th minute and for once tried a cross rather than those useless short corners we'd tried before. Jubilant supporters as VSK managed to equalise, not quite sure what happened. Quite clear that it was a mess in front of their keeper and somehow a VSK-player managed to squeeze the ball in.

At this point I was really glad with one point, but the team kept on pushing forward. We really had a hard time creating any real chances but at least we kept the ball for long stretches of time. End of the game approached when we got another corner. The long variant was tried again and this time thier keeper was at fault as he managed to miss the ball when he tried to punch it clear. One of our attacker was in place at the far post and we were leading 2-1 with seconds to go. Three points in the bag despite some appaling play from us, good for morale. Next game is already on thursday when we play Häcken at home, hoping for another three points then.

Yup, and a fine three points at that! We are now sixth in the table with a few games in hand, if we manage to beat Häcken on thursday, we climb to third place.
