Voilà, les données ont été introduites...
Quelques chiffres...
A friend and I was at Claude Robillard Stadium on Sunday from Richmond, and although the result didn't go our way - I was really impressed with L'Impact organization. The team is solid (excellent defense), the facility is great and the fans passionate. Nobody around us seemed to mind us shouting for "the other team" (though we stayed away from the Ultras), with so many fans around us we felt a little intimidated, but certainly not scared, which is as it should be.
I also enjoyed being able to watch the game again on TV that night as well as the double page spread in the paper the following morning. Montreal really knows how to treat soccer with respect, I wish it got the same kind of coverage here in Richmond.
As for the city itself, well I really enjoyed my visit - the food was excellent, the people friendly and the women beautiful. I will have to learn some French for my next visit.
Again, I apologize for writing in English - but hoped you wouldn't mind since I have nothing but good things about your team and your city. Bonne chance for the rest of the season (except against the Kickers).

Thanks for the good words. It's always nice to have away fans sharing their experience of Soccer, the Montreal way...We are getting better coverage the past two years. I guess it helps when the team is winning and we have 8000+ fans in the stadium.
Very kind - thanks! I certainly appreciate to know that other fans come to the games when visiting Montreal. Best wishes to your team as well and I hope you kick-ers (just kidding)...
Next time, let us know when you come and it will be the speaker's pleasure to notice your presence with us (you certainly don't undestand but they will...).
Regards!

I heard about this site when I asked for the nearest metro station to the stadium on usldiscussions Impact Forum. Of course by the time someone replied I was already bound for Montreal. We worked it out though, thanks to the good old Yellow Pages (or Pages Jaunes).
I thought the Richmond performance was sub-par. After the first twenty minutes (when the Impact decided to step up a gear) we just could not find a way around the defense. Probably because all we tried were long balls over Delicate or dribbling up the wings. We've had a few discussions on the USL Board about our 4-5-1 formation; it seems to cram up our midfield - stifling the collective genius of Worthen, Hayes and Jeffrey (who should be up front anyway!) and limiting the options when we move forward.
L'Impacts defense was stellar, they worked very well as a unit. I don't know if not playing the offside is normal for this team, but it was a good choice against the Kickers (just ask Virginia Beach). Montreal also counter-attacked very effectively, we were caught on the back foot a number of times after (yet another) turn-over.
The first goal was good work by your guy on the wing and poor work by our full-back. It was unfortunate that Pascale parried the ball into the path of the goalscorer as it looked like it was going wide, but I don't blame the keeper at all - he was just trying to pretect his territory.
Although the free kick that lead to the second goal was questionable, the actual free-kick itself was perfection and killed off the game.
Oh, and the sending off was justified I think - although it wasn't a dirty challenge on Hayes, it was illegal; and since Hayes was through on goal the referee had no choice. It was just unfortunate for us that the foul occurred just outside the box rather than inside.
As far as the mascot - the fans around us were actually the late comers that were seated 20 minutes into the game. Most of them seemed to be guys and girls in their twenties and thirties and were definitely into the game. Some even tried to start chanting once in a while.
Once again, it was a terrific experience. The beer festival in centre ville was an excellent welcoming party.[/quote]
