At a certain point, you have to go with convention, with the standard way to do things.

Technically, as an inuk, yes we do carry the names of our ancestors. People often dont name their kids at birth, until having asked family and friends what ancestor's soul is within them, then they give them that name. Thats why sometimes you can catch parents calling their kids "grandma".
And arabic naming convention leads to situations where their father and grandfather/ mother and grandmother are included in their names...
But that's a story for a different day.
The "convention", and standard way of doing things for this situation is set by what? The sounders who never used a star in their history, the timbers, who won nothing, and
Vancouver?!?
Hardly a strong case to talk about maintaining the "standard" way.
