Bon ben déjà, l'article amène pas grand chose sur la table, ne serait-ce qu'une opinion plutôt mal formulée.
Et puis y a deux grosses erreurs dedans. Douteux.

Ou plutôt la création d'un championnat national était une des conditions à respecter pour l'organisation de la CM94...

Faux. Houston a encore un match à disputer et pourrait se qualifier avec une victoire.

A: Play a European schedule, to give you my best answer, would cost us millions of dollars, we wouldn’t be able to have a business. Basically that decision, if we were to schedule that way, we’d have to fold to the league because we couldn’t afford to do it. We would still end up playing a Wednesday/Saturday schedule.

And I know some fans and the media are up in arms over certain things we have no control over. Our SuperLiga has been a wild success. So along comes the Concacaf Champions League, which we have no control over. The fans scream and yell and the media looks at our teams not performing well, but what are we supposed to do? Our teams have to decide what’s more important to them. So we are left to plow along, take our lumps and stay steady and strong. Then people up in Montreal look at what the U.S.L. teams have done in the Champions League and wonder why they should even want to be in M.L.S. But it’s big for them, not as big for us.

J'allais justement poster ça.. ça sent pas très bon. Un point intéressant qui m'a fait sourciller:

Avec l'arrivée de la Ligue des Champions, la Superliga devient moin pertinente. Parcontre ce tournoi offre une bourse plus imposante au vainqueur du tournoi, un facteur qui influence surement l'importance accordé au deux tournois.

C'est toute de même désolant de voir que la MLS accorde peu d'importance au tournoi de la Ligue des Champions. Sa démontre encore une fois la vision étroite de Don Garber.
